Aselsan, one of the main partners of the multi-layered air defense system project Steel Dome (Çelik Kubbe), will establish a new factory in Eskişehir to start manufacturing ceramic radomes used in missile systems.
Developing and manufacturing military electronic devices — primarily in communications — since 1975, Aselsan is now taking a strategic step into the critical defense components sector.
Aselsan will collaborate with Eskişehir-based Nanotech for ceramic radome production. According to the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the two companies, Aselsan will hold a 51% stake in the newly established joint venture, named Aselsan Nanotech Eskişehir Elektronik Sistemler, while Nanotech will own the remaining 49%.
This partnership aims to localize the production of ceramic shelters for radar installations to be used in national missile systems developed by Aselsan under the Steel Dome project. This initiative intends to ensure security of supply and reduce foreign dependence for critical technologies. Aselsan already develops and manufactures the seeker radars utilized in the air-to-air and air defense missile systems that comprise the core elements of the Steel Dome.
FINANCIAL GROWTH AND GLOBAL FOOTPRINT

The company's revenue in the first quarter of 2026 increased by 15% in real terms compared to the same period last year, rising to 34.3 billion TL, while its new export contracts surged by 69% to reach $629 million.
Providing nearly $4 billion worth of business annually to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Aselsan operates production facilities in Sivas, Gaziantep, Malatya, Konya, and Adıyaman. The company also has joint ventures in the Philippines, Azerbaijan, Malaysia, Ukraine, Oman, the UAE, Kazakhstan, Jordan, and Qatar.
