After the CHP pushed back against a wave of lawsuits aimed at annulling its 2023 congress, some AKP-affiliated pundits—occasionally critical of their own party’s leadership—called for an end to the judicial crackdown.

Following the CHP’s extraordinary congress on Sept. 21, former AKP deputy Orhan Miroğlu said artificial intelligence was creating new ways for people and groups to fortify their strongholds. “The castle can no longer be conquered from within. The Trojan horses are no longer effective,” he said.

Miroğlu said that these methods, used in politics and the media, have not gone beyond being a bread and butter for Trojan horses. “I hope that after this last experience, everyone will mind their own business,” he said.

Former AKP Ağrı Mayor Savcı Sayan, on the other hand, criticized his party. “What are you trying to do? You surrounded our President and blocked his information channels, preventing the truth from reaching him,” Sayan said on social media. Sayan accused party members of forgetting where they came from. “You are wearing down the party with agendas that burden the people,” he said. “The more you talk about the CHP, the more you give them space, empower them, unite them, and give them hope for power,” Sayan added.

Journalist Cem Küçük, who is known to be close to the ruling party, addressed former CHP deputy and dissident journalist Barış Yarkadaş on a television program. “Tell your friends to stop insisting. Let them accept that they lost. The party now belongs to Özgür Özel. You lost this one,” he said.
