The provision targeting LGBTQI+ individuals in the draft known as the 11th Judicial Package has been removed following strong backlash from human rights groups and civil society organizations.

The draft sought to avoid attacks on society's general morals and values, safeguard the institution of the family, and more successfully counteract the trends of gender neutrality and standardization. Additionally, it would increase the gender reassignment age limit from 18 to 25, reported ANKA News Agency.

The 30-article package otherwise covers measures on the use of firearms in residential areas, blocking traffic, cybercrime, online betting and gambling, and the protection of children from criminal activity.
