ANKARA PLANS SALE OF UAVS TO JAPAN

Japanese Defense Minister Gen Nakatani visited Ankara in August 2025 and was given a comprehensive presentation on Turkish defense industry products, primarily maritime security, air defense systems, and unmanned vehicles. A delegation from the Turkish Defense Ministry will also visit Japan in March to hold talks on cooperation in the defense industry, and a framework agreement will be signed between the two countries. Ankara wants to sell Japan the ANKA UCAVs produced by TAI and Baykar’s Bayraktar TB2 and TB3 UCAVs.
