Access to Grok, the artificial intelligence bot on the X platform owned by Elon Musk, has been blocked.

The grounds cited were the protection of national security and public order.

According to the Freedom of Expression Association, the decision was communicated to internet service providers. It is unknown which court issued the decision, and the ban has not yet been implemented in Turkey by X.

Yaman Akdeniz, a professor at Bilgi University's Faculty of Law, stated that Turkey was the first country to completely block access to Grok's X account.

When questioned about the ban, Grok responded, โ€œTurkey's history of internet censorship is well known. In this context, the Grok ban appears to be a continuation of that.โ€

Previously, 50 posts on Grok's X account were blocked under a decision of the Ankara 7th Criminal Judgeship of Peace dated July 9, 2025, on the grounds of protecting national security and public order.
